Characterizations

H3K4me3 (Mus musculus)
Method: dot blot assay
Attachment from submitter
compliant
Caption
Performed dot blot analysis using Millipore’s AbSurance™ Complete Core Histone Antibody Specificity Array (cat# 16-668, http://www.millipore.com/catalogue/item/16-668#). The top panel contains histone H2A, H2B, and H4 peptides while the bottom panel has histone H3 peptides. The antibody recognized the H3K4me3 peptide 100% (noted with red #1).

Caption
An immunoblot using whole cell extract of three tissue types in mouse and one human colorectal carcinoma cell line shows positive bands at the size of the histone (17kDa), while the recombinant unmodified version of that histone shows a lack of reactivity. The histone bands detected in the extracts constitute 100% of the protein signal and show at least 10-fold enrichment relative to any other band. This signal is also at least 10-fold enriched relative to that detected using the unmodified recombinant histone.
