- Caption
- Analysis of ATF1 ChIP-Seq. supports validation. A 28% of ATF1 peaks (p-value < 1e-10) consistent with role in initiation. B ATF1 peaks have a high degree of overlap with other ATF/CREB family members CREB (80% within 1000bp) and ATF2 (90% within 1000bp) compared to other transcription factors. C De novo motif discovery with the MEME suite of analysis software using 100bp of sequence flanking the top 1000 ATF1 peaks identifies the CRE palindrome as an enriched DNA element (p-value < 4e-3). 18% of ATF1 peaks have a CRE (p-value < 0.0001) a significant enrichment relative to 8.6% of non-redundant RefSeq TxStart sites (p-valuebonf < 1e-12). ATF1 peak maxima and CRE position are coincident.
